WHAT TO EXPECT
1) Short Zoom introduction
We begin with a 15-20 minute conversation. Just come as you are and no need to prep beforehand. You’re welcome to share anything on your mind—or nothing specific at all.
2) Art-making (off-camera)
Next, I create the physical piece independently. I work quickly and intuitively, trying to get my analytical brain out of the way long enough for other patterns and impressions to emerge.
3) Follow-up call
I'll share a snapshot of your piece and discuss what surfaced for me during the process. You're welcome to share reactions, possible interpretations or ask questions, though no pressure to define it any particular way.
4) Artwork delivery
The original 11 × 14 artwork ships unframed via USPS. A high-resolution digital version is also available (+$50 for both).

THE PRACTICE
Ever since people were invented, creators of all kinds have used intuition, instinct, symbolism, and subconscious response as part of the creative process.
And more specifically, when people refer to an "intuitive process" in art-making, it's often connected to process-art* and in the visual arts, sometimes abstract expressionism.* Both generally solo practices and as artists we're responding to our own internal worlds.
What I’m exploring here is slightly different: also working within a lesser-known term sometimes called a relational or responsive art practice.
My experiment in combining intuitive, observational, and relational art has led to some surprising, curious and insightful results—both for myself and for participants. Hope you'll be part of the evolution!
